First Flight

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Gabriella took her first airplane ride to Meridian last week and was an amazingly good traveler. She seemed to enjoy her trip and spending time with Pop, Madi and Uncle Paul.  She went swimming for the first time and even went underwater, which she didn’t seem to mind too much.  Gabby also went to a party at Dalewood with people that I knew growing up in Meridian, and she was the hit of the party.

Gabby in the outfit that Kristine Crothers gave her.

Gabby enjoyed kicking and splashing the water.

Relaxing in the warm pool.

She decided to take a break from swimming in the stroller. Hat is courtesy of Jean Korf.

Gabby and Uncle Paul, who was very good at holding her. You can tell she liked it.

Our first day in New Orleans was spent walking around the Quarter. Gabby did really well in her Ergo carrier.

Gabby watches us eat beignets and even gets a little sugar on her nose.  She’s thinking, “I wish I could talk to tell these fools that I want some beignets!”

Gabby meets a Meridian friend that goes way back, Donna Bea.

Gabby and Pop spend some last minutes together before we head for the airport.
